Location Details

This role is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, where you will work closely with diverse design teams. Support for relocation is available.

Requirements

A valid Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license is necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical systems for various commercial and industrial facilities
• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure solutions specific to client needs
• Develop calculations, layouts, and construction documents
• Collaborate with other engineering teams for cohesive project execution
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and best practices
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and feasibility
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues when necessary
• Support projects throughout the entire construction documentation process

Qualifications

• Active Mechanical Engineering PE license
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience in designing HVAC and mechanical systems for facilities
• Solid grasp of relevant mechanical codes and standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
