Assistant Infant Teacher

SouthSide Early Childhood Center is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Infant Teacher to join our early learning team. If you have a heart for caring for babies and believe the earliest years are the foundation for lifelong learning, we would love to meet you!

Position Overview:

The Assistant Infant Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher to create a loving, responsive, and developmentally rich environment for infants. This role supports infants' growth through consistent care, meaningful interactions, and play-based experiences that foster trust, curiosity, and early development.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and comforting
• Supporting sensory-rich, developmentally appropriate activities
• Observing and responding to infants' individual cues and needs using the Conscious Discipline Curriculum
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets licensing and accreditation standards
• Building positive, secure relationships with infants, families, and team members in the classroom and through home visits
• Communicating regularly with families about care and development
• Consistently following all state licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience working with infants
• CDA or associate's degree in early childhood or related (required)
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• Ability to meet background check and health requirements
