Sr. Mainframe developer

Infosys is seeking Senior Mainframe developer who has worked on Mainframe Cobol JCL VSAM DB2 (Stored procedures Native SP SQL). This position will primarily be responsible to interface with key stakeholders; applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts; to deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation transition and warranty; part of a learning culture where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged excellence is rewarded and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications :

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of any of mentioned locations i.e. Hartford CT RichardsonTX Tempe AZ Raleigh NC or Indianapolis IN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in USA.

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

Experience working in Mainframe Cobol DB2 JCL VSAM.

Experience working in DB2 (Stored procedures Native SP SQL).

Experience in COBOL CICS and DB2.

Preferred Qualifications :

Healthcare Domain experience is preferred.

Strong Analytical & design skills.

Ability to lead the activities related to requirements elicitation creation and review of design provide pseudo code to the team assign and review tasks mentor individuals.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.
