Ability to perform physical tasks including walking and using stairs, as required in a male-level facility.
Ability to pass security checks including metal detector screening.
Compliance with facility regulations such as no cell phones unless approved, clear container for food, and restricted personal items.

Job Description :

Administer nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor.

Responsibilities include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, reinserting gastrostomy tubes, suctioning, irrigating wounds, giving enemas, collecting specimens, and performing dialysis treatments.

Assist physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests; provide emergency support such as first-aid and CPR.

Administer medications including narcotics, minor tranquilizers, oral, rectal, topical, or injectable forms; provide medication instructions to patients.

Maintain medication accountability records such as charts, prepare and count medication, and manage medical supplies.

Observe, document, and report patient conditions and prepare related reports and records.

Provide direct care assistance, including taking patient vital signs, assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, and responding to patient alarms.

Assist lower-level direct care staff by providing work direction, orientation, and training.

Order medication and medical supplies; clean and maintain nurse station and related equipment.

Participate in meetings, staff conferences, and training programs as assigned.

Qualifications :

Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures and general hospital practices.

Familiarity with pharmacology, patient care, first-aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations.

Proficient in using medical equipment and understanding institutional procedures.

Strong human relations skills and experience in inventory control and employee training.
