Job Title: R&D Engineering Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an R&D Engineering Technician, where you will collaborate closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to replace ICs and build electromechanical components and systems. You will read electrical schematics and perform troubleshooting and testing, working alongside a dedicated team of engineers and occasionally assisting assemblers on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from electrical and mechanical engineers for IC replacements and building electromechanical components and systems.
• Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot and test accordingly.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, including both electrical and mechanical experts.
• Assist assemblers on the production floor with troubleshooting as needed.
• Support engineers in various test engineering functions.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in operating electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Experience in electrical schematic reading, electrical testing, soldering, and testing circuits.
• Experience with IPC soldering and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read components and IC data sheets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting electronic circuits.
• IPC certification for soldering is a plus but not mandatory.
• 1 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Will consider Entry Level Electrical Engineering Candidates

Work Environment

This role involves working in the medical device industry, providing an opportunity to extend the duration or potentially convert to a full-time position. The work environment is collaborative, with a strong focus on teamwork and innovation.

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
