Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range : $5,877 - $6,236 per month (Steps 1 - 4); salary placement above the step range may be considered in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and the candidate's qualifications and current salary.
Full CSU Classification Salary Range : $5,877 - $8,561 per month
This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position. Up to four (4) positions may be filled from this recruitment.
Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary
The Budget Analyst, under the general direction of the Budget Director of Academic Affairs and with guidance from the college Deans and Associate Deans, provides advanced-level financial and administrative expertise and leadership to support multiple colleges and / or a significant program area within Academic Affairs, and their leadership in strategic financial planning and decision-making. This position functions independently with a high degree of judgment and accountability to ensure effective budget administration, financial management, and policy compliance. The incumbent is expected to independently analyze complex budgetary issues, make strategic recommendations, and lead special projects to enhance the colleges' fiscal and operational efficiency. The analyst will also oversee assigned time, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget allocations and university policies, as well as manage position control for part-time faculty contracts.

Provides policies, procedures, and assistance regarding budgetary matters. This includes, but is not limited to, Academic Affairs Level B Budget, Faculty Recruitment and Moving Expenses, Instructionally Related Activities (IRA), and Provost's Funding Commitments.
