What you will do
- Deliver day-to-day support for process control systems and infrastructure, including Honeywell EPKS, PLC/SCADA interfaces, Windows, Cisco networks, and related applications to ensure safe and reliable operations
- Keep the business team informed about system projects, repairs, and health. Develop and maintain control system documentation, including network architecture
- Lead or support system upgrades, migrations, patching, and sustainability improvement projects
- Ensure adherence to ExxonMobil standards, including Process Control Practices, Management of Change, documentation, and design review procedures
- Collaborate with IT/OT cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices. Act as a leader in cybersecurity awareness and implementation
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and implement control system improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and uptime
- Participate in root cause analyses and incident investigations related to control system performance or failures
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians. Collaborate with team members and Communities of Practice (CoP)
- Communicate effectively in writing (, emails, presentations) and verbally in team settings to represent your work and ideas
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply new technologies
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Education
- B. S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to use and troubleshoot at least one of the following areas of process control systems and associated computing areas:
- Honeywell Experion
- Honeywell Uniformance Process History Database (PHD)
- Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2018, 10)
- VMware/virtual machines
- TCP/IP-based network switches and routers ( Cisco or equivalent)
- Experience of at least 3+ years in a professional setting maintaining a process control system or a Windows based network of workstations and/or servers is a minimum requirement to be considered for this position
