Security Officer – Full Time – Denver, CO

Starting Wage : $

After 6 Months : $

After 1 Year : $

Available Schedule :

  • Mon - Fri : 7AM - 6PM
  • Wed - Sun : 3PM - 11PM

Join our team at Securitas Security where you will have the opportunity to serve your community while receiving advanced training in safety and security. You will become certified in CPR-AED, Trauma care, X-ray imaging in threat detections, De-escalation techniques and use of force to mention just a few. These positions require a high level of customer service and professionalism with the ability to work under pressure. While prior security experience is highly preferred, we are willing to train the right candidates.

    • What You Can Expect :

  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
  • Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.

    • Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.

  • Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.

    • Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.

    Monitor surveillance cameras.

  • Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

    • Basic Requirements :

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
  • Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
  • Customer service background preferred.
  • Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of customers in a calm and professional manner.
  • Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
  • All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

    • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
