Backend Engineer

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer - Data Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Build, operate, and evolve a data analytics platform including backend services and OLAP data store

Create internal tooling and services to streamline integration with the analytics platform

Advocate for best practices in service design, data modeling, and contract testing

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience with distributed datastores and backend services

Proficient in Java; familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform is a plus

Understanding of data modeling and analytical query patterns

Experience building internal developer tools or shared services

Familiarity with OLAP databases or analytics warehouses is preferred
