Job Title : Principal Data Engineer
INSPYR Solutions, LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking experienced Principal Data Engineer(s) to work closely with business domain experts and lead a team in creating an Enterprise Data Lakehouse. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Data Science and Computer Science principles and concepts, as well as experience with Data integrations and Data Lakes, to perform the duties of the position.
Job responsibilities and duties include :
- Own and govern end-to-end data architecture across multiple business domains.
- Lead large-scale modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations and advanced analytics enablement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, ensuring that technology solutions meet evolving business needs.
- Design and implement enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse solutions utilizing Medallion Architecture with Apache Iceberg on S Object Storage, ensuring high availability, scalability, and alignment with business operations
- Develop and optimize pipelines leveraging ELT, Pub / Sub, and Change Data Capture patterns. Introduce partitioning and compaction strategies to improve query performance and reduce
operational overhead.
Apply advanced programming skills in Python (Pandas, Numpy, PyArrow, Pytest, Scikit-Learn, Boto) and ANSI SQL. Extensively used DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformations, ApacheAirflow for orchestration, and Airbyte for ingestion.
Design and maintain data models, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault. Implement data quality pipelines that enforce correctness and create trusted datasetsacross multiple use cases.
Advocate and implement best practices for CI / CD, version control, automated testing, and refactoring, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability of data assets.Mentor junior data engineers and conduct department-wide training sessions on advanced data engineering techniques and solution designEffectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Define and enforce enterprise-wide data engineering frameworks and standards.Further expand impact by shaping long-term data platform strategy, guiding technology selection and adoption, and ensuring that Enterprise Products maintain an industry-leading data and analytics environment.This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of others
REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering (any field), or any related field of study, plus at least three () years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the company will accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Development,
Engineering (any field), or any related field of study, plus at least five () years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following :
