Traffic Control Specialist

As a Traffic Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing traffic safety and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include :

• Preparing comprehensive work orders for the repair, maintenance, or modifications to traffic systems.
• Planning, designing, and optimizing components of traffic control systems to meet current and future traffic demands.
• Computing time settings for traffic lights and speed limits using established formulas to ensure effective traffic flow.
• Creating detailed drawings of proposed signal installations or other traffic control devices utilizing drafting instruments or computer-aided design software.
• Analyzing factors that influence traffic conditions, such as lighting and sign visibility, to evaluate and improve their effectiveness.
• Collecting and organizing data from various sources, including hand count sheets and radar speed checks, and preparing this information for computer input using coding techniques.
