You'll Work On :

Leading and growing an infrastructure team of 35 engineers focused on SRE and DevX initiatives.

Driving reliability, observability, and performance across Maze's services and infrastructure.

Designing and evolving internal tooling, CI / CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure that enable product teams to move fast and safely.

Preparing infrastructure and tooling to support AI / ML workloads at scale, ensuring reliable performance and cost efficiency as AI usage grows

Supporting engineers through coaching, mentorship, and clear career development paths.

As an Engineering Manager at Maze, you will :

Lead and support a team of engineers focused on building and scaling the platform that powers Maze's product teams.

Partner with peers in engineering leadership to define technical strategy and drive initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Engineering to ensure our infrastructure, tooling, and processes enable teams to deliver efficiently and confidently.

Bring a thoughtful, people first approach to performance, feedback, and development conversations.

Own incident management processes, including on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement of system reliability and MTTR.

Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers who are excited about the intersection of infrastructure and AI

Balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery in a high growth, remote environment.

You should apply if :

You have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams focused on platform, infrastructure, or reliability.

You have a proven track record of driving platform and developer experience initiatives that improve productivity, reliability, and system scalability.

You're comfortable working across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar), CI / CD systems, and monitoring / observability tools.

You're familiar with modern AI technologies and infrastructure patterns, and understand how to build systems that scale with AI-driven product features

You care about the developer experience as much as the end user experience.

You bring structure and calm to complex systems and operational challenges.

You have experience leading or collaborating on incident response, reliability reviews, and capacity planning.

You're skilled at managing remote engineers across time zones and fostering strong communication and collaboration.

You value mentorship and creating an environment of ownership, growth, and continuous learning.

Bonus points :

You've led SRE or platform teams at a SaaS company with a similar scale or growth stage.

You've built or maintained developer platforms, internal SDKs, or shared infrastructure services.

You have hands on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud-native observability stacks.

You've driven cross-functional reliability initiatives or DevX programs.

You have experience working with modern JavaScript (Node.js / TypeScript) or similar ecosystems.
