Job Description


The A/P Clerk is responsible for providing financialand administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accuratefinancial and administrative operations. This person is also responsible forall phases of accounts payable processing.

  1. Performsday to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure Supplieraccounts are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
  2. Worksclosely with Purchasing to ensure invoices are paid within agreed paymentterms.
  3. Coordinatesaccounts payable processing including invoices, payment requisition processingand check issuance.
  4. Organizesand prioritizes work using knowledge of current office technology.
  5. Reconcilesmonthly account statements with invoices received.
  6. Demonstratesexceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  7. Verifiestransactions comply with financial policies and procedures to ensure totalaccounting compliance.
  8. Confirmsfigures, postings and documents to verify correctness, mathematical accuracyand proper coding.
  9. Evaluatescompleteness and accuracy of invoices submitted for payment and data on allvendor accounts.
  10. Reviews invoicesand statements to ensure all information appearing on them are accurate andcomplete.
  11. Proactively followup on unprocessed invoiced and payment requests received.
  12. Accurately inputs data into system and correctsany inaccurate data entry

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. BasicMicrosoft Office Software experience such as Word and Excel.
  2. HighSchool graduate or its equivalent.
  3. Detailedoriented with basic mathematical skills.
  4. BasicMicrosoft Office Software experience such as Word and Excel.
  5. Mustspeak write and understand Basic English.
    Regularand predictable attendance is an essential function for this position
  6. Must be authorized to work in the USA.

physical demands


Sitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to (25) twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
