Main is hiring for a full-time field, industrial and shipyard/marine, safety supervisor in our Hampton, VA branch. No relocation or per diem available. Position reports to the Safety Manager.

The field safety supervisor's responsibilities include:

• Enforcement of company specific, client specific, and OSHA specific safety policies at the field level
• Conducting tool box safety training and collecting and maintaining documentation of training
• Perform workplace safety inspections at the field level
• Conduct, document, and maintain documentation of incident investigations
• Assist the safety manager with new hire orientation
• Maintain and document the maintenance of safety equipment
• After being designated a Competent Person, perform CP duties industrial and shipyard/marine

Job Type: Full-time, hourly

Job Location: Hampton, VA

Required experience:

• Must be 18 years' old
• Must be US Citizen
• Experience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heights
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient writing skills using proper English grammar
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Maintain a professional demeanor
• All candidates must submit to drug testing and E-Verification of their right to work in the US
• A criminal background check required
• Reliable transportation a must
• Bilingual Preferred
