Position Summary

As our Screen-Printing Technician, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting screen-printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on apparel and other substrates. You’ll work closely with production staff to ensure jobs run smoothly, meet specifications, and are completed on time.

Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department and business.

• Prepare and set up screen printing jobs : coat screens, expose / stencil, register images, mix inks and match colors.
• Operate manual or automatic screen-printing machines, adjust settings to ensure proper registration, ink coverage, drying / curing.
• Monitor print quality throughout the run; detect and correct issues like misregistration, ink viscosity problems, smudging or bleeding.
• Clean, reclaim and maintain screens and printing fixtures; perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain accurate production logs, including job counts, downtime, materials used, and any quality issues.
• Handle materials : loading garments / substrates, stacking finished prints, coordinating with finishing / packing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety protocols, including handling of inks and cleaning chemicals.
• Work with Production Manager to meet schedule goals and help suggest process improvements to increase efficiency or reduce waste.
