NeuroPraxis is California's premiere in-home and community-based rehabilitation program for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries. Our interdisciplinary team incorporates technological advancements and innovative rehabilitation techniques to help clients overcome their TBI and / or SCI-related physical, emotional, and social challenges. We provide comprehensive rehabilitation programs customized to the unique needs of each patient and believe that individualized care is essential to a successful rehabilitation journey.
Role Description
The Speech Therapist will provide teletherapy services to individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries, focusing on speech, communication, language, and swallowing disorders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Treat speech, communication, language, and dysphagia-related swallowing disorders
- Monitor and document client progress in the designated EMR
- Collaborate with case managers and interdisciplinary rehabilitation team members
- Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and goals
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programActive California SLP license in good standingASHA certification (CCC-SLP)Expertise in speech therapy evaluation and treatmentStrong knowledge of speech, communication, and language disordersExperience treating dysphagia and swallowing disordersExperience working with neurological populations (TBI, SCI, stroke, or related conditions)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary teamExperience in home-based or community-based care is a plusSpanish-speaking is a plusWhy Join NeuroPraxis?
