We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a 3–4-month contract basis in West LA. This is a hybrid position, and you will be required to work onsite 1-2 days per week. In this role, you will oversee essential financial operations, including student billing and payment processing, while maintaining accurate records and supporting general ledger activities. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities :

• Process incoming checks using the remote deposit system and manage cash deposits at the bank.
• Track and record electronic payments and refunds daily in the general ledger.
• Ensure accurate recording of deposits in the general ledger.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and contribute to cash collection activity reconciliations.
• Monitor aging accounts and provide progress updates to the Business Manager during weekly meetings.
• Maintain student billing accounts, including charges for after-school care, bus passes, trips, and other fees.
• Support the annual enrollment contract process and set up student billing for the new academic year.
• Record donation deposits and ensure accurate integration between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge.
• Collaborate with the Business Manager to ensure smooth financial operations and complete other assigned tasks as needed.
• Provide timely updates and maintain accurate records to support efficient accounts receivable processes.
• A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
• Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for accounting studies.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other financial software applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete projects within deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all financial matters.
