Summary: The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for delivering high-quality primary care services, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education. Working in close collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals, the PA plays a vital role in ensuring comprehensive patient care through a team-based approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and evaluation of psychosocial and cultural factors.
  
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to inform diagnoses.
  
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, injections, and other interventions in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state regulations.
  
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, medication instructions, health promotion, and illness prevention.
  
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for the management of acute and long-term patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active Physician Assistant State License.
  
• Bachelor's degree with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA).
  
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  
• Current NC Medical Board License.
  
• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) Preferred.
