We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Pharmacist to join our team in a mail-order pharmacy setting. As a Production Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications while providing exceptional service and support to our patients.
Responsibilities
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders.
Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.
Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring for expired or damaged products.
Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting pharmacy services.
Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
Active, unrestricted Indiana Pharmacist license required. Ability to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in additional states.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting (preferred).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to support a multi-state mail-order pharmacy operation and ensure operational redundancy.
Company provides support and/or reimbursement for required licensure in accordance with policy.
Work Environment
This position is based in a mail-order pharmacy with a closed-door setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $67.00/hr.
