Job Description
The Graphic Designer is responsible for working with both internal and external clients as a design and layout expert to create innovative marketing materials and program products based on the needs of the organization. This position works with a wide range of projects and duties, from print publications to web pages, produces innovative concepts and designs, and works collaboratively with internal publications to execute designs for a variety of projects on both extended and short timelines.
Education Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Associate's degree with coursework in graphic design, communications design or related field preferred
- 3 years of related experience can substitute for degree requirement
Experience: - Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic design, communications design, or related field preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of web design including HTML and CSS required
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Affinity Suite
- Strong skills in style and design including color, spacing, and typography required
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of print design required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on short timelines; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties: - Ensure design execution has exceptional use of branding and fundamental design elements including color, typography, layout, and appropriate imagery
- Prioritize and complete multiple design projects in a fast-paced environment
- Design and develop innovative marketing materials and program products based on organizational needs
- Be involved in design development processes and presentation of ideas and designs directly to clients and colleagues
