Automation Engineer

Overview

This role provides hands-on support for the installation, optimization, and maintenance of automation systems within the plant and lab. The position also contributes to training and documentation, including IQ / OQ / PQ validation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Plant Automation team to implement and refine new automation equipment.
  • Train technical staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor system performance and identify safety issues or service needs.
  • Optimize automation processes for reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct adjustments and repairs as required to maintain peak performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience programming FANUC or ABB robots.
  • Understanding of industrial systems (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, chilled water).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and standards.
  • Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office).

    • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or engineering preferred.

    • This plant is located about 1 hour outside of Dallas, TX
