Position Overview :
This is an approximate 3-month contract position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role
for candidates who also bring strong inventory, asset management, or warehouse workflow experience
on top oftheir 3D scanning software knowledge.
Your primary responsibility will be to scan, process, and maintain accurate 3D models of all inventory
items using the EinScan HX2. You will work closely with our warehouse team, directing the workflow
necessary to efficiently and accurately capture all piecesfrom sofas to accent chairs to small decorative
items.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate the EinScan HX2 to capture high-resolution 3D scans of furniture and accessories.
Prepare, configure, and optimize scanning environments for accuracy.
Process scans into OBJ, 3MF, STL, or similar formats for seamless handoff to our rendering team.
Clean, align, and optimize mesh data for use in Revit, Rhino, and other rendering programs.
Direct and collaborate with warehouse team members to move, rotate, and position items for
scanning.
Troubleshoot scanning or software issues to ensure efficient daily output.
Maintain organized digital files, ensuring proper naming conventions and asset management.
Meet daily / weekly scan quotas to complete 1,200+ pieces within the project timeline.
Communicate with leadership to report progress, challenges, and recommendations for efficiency.
Qualifications
Required : Demonstrated experience with EinScan scanners (HX2, H2, or comparable systems).
Proficiency in 3D scanning software and workflows (e.g., EXScan, Geomagic, Meshmixer, Blender,
etc.).
Understanding of OBJ / 3MF / STL formats and mesh optimization for rendering use.
Strong technical problem-solving skills related to scanning hardware and software.
Ability to work in a warehouse setting, scanning both large and small items.
Comfortable directing warehouse assistants and managing daily workflow.
Excellent attention to detail and file organization.
Ability to lift and safely maneuver furniture items with team assistance.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with cataloging, inventory systems, or warehouse operations.
Knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or rendering pipelines.
Background in product visualization, digital fabrication, or 3D modeling.

Duration : 3 Months
Hours : Full-time or near full-time during contract
Schedule : Flexible daytime hours
Pay : $22$32 per hour, depending on experience
Potential : May transition to full-time based on performance and additional skills

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Scanning Specialist with hands-on experience using the EinScan HX2
or comparable 3D scanning systems to lead this project.
