Position Overview:

• The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance and technical review for a broad range of entity types while leading and developing the tax team.
• This role involves managing engagement workflows, providing strategic tax guidance, supporting business development, and cultivating strong customer relationships.
• You’ll help shape the team’s future while contributing meaningful value to customers and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Maintain thorough understanding of each customer’s business to communicate engagement economics effectively. - Provide clear and proactive communication on engagement progress, issues, and resolutions. - Continuously expand technical tax expertise and share knowledge with the team. - Manage billable hour budgets and follow up on variances. - Perform technical reviews of complex tax returns across multiple engagement types. - Research complex tax issues and propose innovative solutions. - Build and assess developmental plans for team members to support growth. - Delegate and manage tax and research assignments to ensure accurate and efficient outcomes. - Lead, coach, and support the tax team while promoting collaboration and accountability. - Support business development through networking, community involvement, and professional events. - Cultivate strong end-to-end customer relationships. - Participate in hiring, onboarding, and celebrating team achievements. - Provide consistent performance feedback and on-the-job training. - Contribute to performance management and promotion-readiness evaluations.

Qualifications:

• - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Tax preferred. - 5+ years of recent public accounting experience, including managing multiple tax engagements and workflows. - Broad experience across all entity types. - CPA certification required. - Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to travel up to 15%.
