Job Description

Looking for Software Developers with the largest cable company in Seattle, WA.

Location : 1000 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA

Contract to Hire Opportunity with 2 openings

Job Description :

Primary Language is Java; other languages are also preferred. Spring, Cloud, Docker, and Container experience is required.

Skills

  • Building robust services
  • Using Git request with everything on URL utilizing HLS (not SOAP or REST)
  • AWS experience for infrastructure and deployment
  • Some testing responsibilities; work with Product Owner to help define specs
  • Database experience could be useful
  • Containerizing in Docker, deploying on Kubernetes is a plus
  • Building high-performance systems; ability to identify bottlenecks
  • Know how to optimize experience and performance
  • Video and / or advertising experience could be a plus
  • 60% coding, 20% testing / automation, 20% helping with infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred, but can be flexible
  • Google Hangout Video interview
  • Two-hour slot; first half hour is phone screen. If it goes well, will continue into more coding discussion and technical interview.

  • Help build new features for the server-side ad insertion product
  • Both live and VOD streams; team is also responsible for Front End reflector service
  • Decide if you can or cannot watch certain content
  • Work together to deliver end-user video performance
