AS667 - Overnight Companion - Brookline, MA

Overview

A kind elderly couple in Brookline, MA, just outside of Boston, is seeking an overnight companion to work at least 5 nights per week. The schedule will generally be 7pm-7am, but can be adjusted depending on availability. The couple is in their early 80's- one of them has mobility issues, and the other is experiencing the early stages of dementia, so someone with experience in those areas would be ideal. The overnights will not include much hands-on care, but the candidate should be comfortable helping the clients if they need assistance walking to the bathroom, and being available if they need anything during the night.

Responsibilities

• Light tidying if needed
• Assisting the principals with trips to the restroom throughout the night
• Some breakfast preparation if timing allows
• Being available for any needs overnight

Qualifications

• Patient and compassionate
• Organized and tidy
• Reliable and professional

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Experience working with clients with dementia and mobility issues
• Local to the Boston area
• The ability to speak Spanish is highly desired, as the family's first language is Spanish

Salary and Benefits

• $30-40/hr.
