Embedded Systems Engineer
Austin Onsite
Stelvio Group is working with an industrial technology business operating in the rail and transportation space to hire an Embedded Systems Engineer . This role sits within a growing hardware and firmware team and focuses on developing and supporting next-generation IoT sensor products deployed in demanding, real-world environments.
This position is suited to an engineer with solid embedded firmware experience who wants to work close to hardware, wireless systems, and production deployments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and support firmware for embedded IoT sensors used in freight rail applications
- Implement low-power management strategies for battery-powered, remote devices
- Integrate and optimise wireless communication protocols , including LoRa and BLE
- Design and refine filtering and signal processing solutions for noisy, industrial conditions
- Debug and resolve system-level issues across firmware and hardware boundaries
- Contribute to firmware standards, including code quality, testing, and documentation
- Collaborate with hardware and product teams on system-level design decisions
- Support continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and approaches
