Direct Support Professional/ Akron, OH Area
A Great Opportunity / Full Time & Part Time: 2nds and weekends / $17.30-$18.30 per hour

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
