CBIZ Talent Solutions is helping our reputable law firm client in Central Nassau County seeking an experienced
Legal Assistant to join their team. The position is full-time and onsite with a hybrid option once fully trained.
Responsibilities: - Create, revise, proofread, and format a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing calendars, and scheduling appointments and meetings
- Prioritize and manage incoming email and correspondence
- Assist attorneys with client communications and document management
- Enter attorney time and submit expense reports using firm software
- Scan, email, and electronically file documents using various filing platforms
Requirements: - At least 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment involving litigation
- Strong document preparation and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word with a strong typing speed
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities
- Experience with legal document filing platforms such as NYSCEF, CM/ECF and EDDS, as well as iTimekeep, Chrome River/Emburse Enterprise, Ceridian, and Zoom is a plus
