Summit LLC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Power BI Developer to join our team and take charge of our reporting infrastructure. The right person will also have proven Specialization in Data Engineering following Medallion Data Architecture Principles and experience building / supporting large data structures.

Job Description :

You will be responsible for managing maintaining and optimizing our Power BI reporting environment. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs ensure data accuracy and deliver actionable insights through effective dashboards and reports. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our data-driven decisions are supported by reliable and user-friendly reports.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Report Development : Design create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements. Understand the Data Platforms & Services strategy and information architecture. Design and build data processing pipelines using tools and frameworks in the Databricks / Azure ecosystem using ADLS to automate structured and unstructured data ingestion. Write optimized queries views and triggers for integration with other applications. Maintain high standards of data quality and data integrity.
• Data Management : Ensure data accuracy and integrity by managing data sources data models and refresh schedules. Responsible for data engineering functions including but not limited to data extraction transformation loading and integration in support of modern cloud computing platforms like Azure and Databricks.
• User Support : Provide support to end-users including troubleshooting issues resolving report-related problems and offering training and guidance on report usage.
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure efficient and effective data retrieval and visualization. Design create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by managing data sources data models and refresh schedules.
• Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements understand data needs and implement solutions that drive business insights. Work with DevOps engineers on CI / CD processes; perform code reviews and develop processes for improving code quality. • Governance : Implement and enforce best practices for data governance security and compliance within the Power BI environment.
