Job Description
AdventHealth for Children is looking for a Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgeon to join our program in Orlando. This surgeon will provide pediatric cardiac surgery at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando.

Requirements of the position:
Board Certification or Eligibility by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery, with a focus on Congenital Cardiac Surgery
Active FL medical license, or ability to obtain
Able to perform the entire spectrum of pediatric cardiac surgery including neonatal surgery, adult congenital, mechanical circulatory support.
Pediatric Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation specialist with UNOS certification preferred, but not requires
"Team player" mentality. Participation in multidisciplinary daily rounds.

Hospital Description
Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children's hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 27 hospitals across the state with one children's hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.
