Position Summary
Oversees activities related to the planning, purchasing, and logistics functions. Communicates performance targets associated with the process, measures actual performance, and implements corrective actions as required. Procures materials to fulfill material plan / demand. Participates in product development and on-going operations. Supports work related to new technologies and provides functional perspective to continual improvement and organizational strategy. Negotiates long term pricing, cost reduction activities, and manages approved suppliers.

Qualifications & Critical Skills
High school diploma or equivalent plus 6+ years of experience in a purchasing environment, including 3 years in planningAn Associate's degree will be considered as 2 years related work experience and a Bachelor's degree will be considered as 4 years related work experienceExtensive experience with ERP / MRP systemsExperience with supplier sourcing, selection and negotiationExperience with contract managementExperience with metrics and process managementSome continuing education coursework through an industry association (e.g. APICS, ISM)Desired : Degree in electronics or businessDesired : CPM or CPIMDesired Results
