Planner

The Excalibur Group is currently seeking a Planner for a local contract in Washington, DC. Will be subject to a background check prior to employment.

Duties

Develop, maintain, and update emergency response plans, continuity of operations plans (COOP), and contingency plans.

Manages and performs required analysis to validate or change, modify, improve and implement plans and procedures.

Facilitates organizational dissemination of findings and resulting recommendations using appropriate techniques.

Facilitate group briefings and discussions to enable the development of plans and other decisions.

Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Public Administration, or related field.

If you do not have a Bachelor's, the following may be substituted :

High school diploma plus four (4) years of relevant experience.

Associate degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience.

Professional certification may be substituted for an additional year of relevant experience.

Five (5) years of relevant experience planning emergency management, or operational coordination experience.

Pay

$42 / hour

Hours of operation : Mon. Fri. 8 : 30am 5pm except Federal Holidays. On-site position. Preference will be given to all qualified applicants who live in a federally certified HUBZone.
