JOB TITLE : Vehicle Processor

REPORTS TO : Facility Manager and Facility Supervisor.

JOB TYPE : Full-time, Non-Exempt.

LOCATION : Skyway Auto Parts (637 Tifft Street Buffalo, NY 14220).

HOURS : 40 Hour Work Week.

COMPENSATION : $18-21 / hr, based on experience & skills.

PURPOSE : The purpose of the vehicle processor is to safely and efficiently prepare vehicles to be placed in the yard for customers to pull parts from and prepare end of life vehicles to be sent to the shredder.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Clean and prepare the job site and yard in a tidy and safe manner.
• Prepare vehicle for dismantling, removes and properly disposes of fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles, disconnect battery, airbags, and any other electrical components.
• Remove tires from vehicles.
• Removes and properly handles catalytic converters.
• Maintains tools and equipment and regularly inspects for discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety regulations, environmental regulations, and company policies while performing job duties.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Use a variety of tools and machines : blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
• Other tasks / duties as assigned by management.
