Patient Account Representative

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.

Key Responsibilities

Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims

Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy

Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays and initiate appeals when necessary

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital / facility billing

Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9 / 10, CPT, and HCPC codes

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Experience with various workflow systems and client host systems
