Utility Worker

Description

This is a Union position. You will be required to sign up with the Teamsters Union Local 853 during onboarding if selected for this role. There is a starting pay rate of $20.42 with the step progression to $22.29 after 60 probationary days. There are a lot of bid opportunities available thereafter. You will need to pass a back ground check and CA state approved drug screen.

Essential Functions

• Use jump cables on cars.

• Charge high and low voltage cars.

• Tire pressure checks on cars.

• Install solar panels for car charge.

• Scan car locations.

• Responsible for vehicle maintenance.

• Maintain solar panels.

• Survey

• Other basic processing functions.

Work Environment

Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.).

Physical Demands

Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
