[job_card.job_description]RN Labor and Delivery RN Labor and Delivery Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit. This includes monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections. Provide postpartum care and education to mothers and families. Document patient care accurately and completely in EPIC. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Care for COVID-19 positive patients. Required Qualifications Current and valid RN License. BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications. Preferred Qualifications BSN degree preferred. Basic/AWHONN Intermediate Fetal monitoring certification preferred. Mother and baby experience. Postpartum and vaginal examination experience. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery. Ability to interpret fetal heart rate tracings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in EPIC charting system. Shift Details Day shift: 06:45 AM - 06:15 PM Guaranteed 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts) Licensing Requirements RN License - Nursys verification required.
