The Role :

Responsibility for supporting Albourne America LLC's Legal & Compliance department. A key aspect of the role will be to find ways to leverage AI tools to enhance the productivity of the Legal & Compliance department.

Responsibilities :

Provide administrative support to attorneys and compliance staff, including the organization and maintenance of files

  • Prepare commercial documents, such as client agreements, confidentiality agreements and vendor agreements
  • Assist in the negotiation of commercial documents under attorney supervision
  • Assist in the review of responses to requests for proposals
  • Assist in responses to client due diligence questionnaires
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting memos under attorney supervision
  • Help maintain the Albourne Group's ongoing compliance with applicable laws and its regulatory obligations in the US and Canada
  • Assist with maintaining and implementing company policies and procedures
  • Find ways to leverage AI tools to enhance the Legal & Compliance department's productivity, including the potential use of contract review / management software and document automation systems
  • Stay informed about industry developments in legal technology
  • Participate in training sessions related to AI and technology
  • Liaise with colleagues at all levels in multiple jurisdictions, including members of the global Legal & Compliance department
  • Participate in Legal & Compliance team meetings
  • Assist with business registrations and licensing in various jurisdictions
  • Handle other Legal & Compliance matters that arise from time to time

What we're looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in legal studies, business administration or a related field
  • Minimum two years of legal administration or assistance experience, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially AI applications in the legal field
  • Proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading
  • Critical thinking skills, research skills and the ability to analyze complex information
  • Excellent organization, time management and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mentality
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • US juris doctor or foreign equivalent
  • Familiarity with compliance matters, particularly US SEC regulation
  • Financial or investment industry experience
