POSITION PURPOSE: Accepts and distributes all packages for hotel guests, internal guests, and hotel functions. Assures that all pertinent information regarding shipping, receiving and distribution of guests correspondences are maintain updated and organized. Conduct inventories.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:- Receives, counts and checks condition of items received, and documents
- Any apparent mishandling. Informs courier's service and documents mishandling information.
- Immediately deliveries guests' package to their room shown in the system.
- Inputs message for guests package deliveries into system when guest is not in the room.
- Prioritize guest's needs when requesting a particular package and delivers immediately.
- Prepares written note showing intent to deliver package when DND sign is on.
- Assist guest and group functions in the preparation, handling and shipping and receiving of all packages which may involve weighing, counting, verifying each item.
- Maintain shipping records.
- Assist the Manager in the daily operation of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Manage and conduct month-end inventories.
- Ensure the filing and maintenance of all requisitions and purchase orders.
- Must have full knowledge of purchasing procedures, food and beverage and printing products.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing in order to prepare official memorandum and correspondence as well as provide clear and meaningful instructions, guidance and counseling to all team members.
- Ability to complete forms, inventories, read billings, invoices and communicates with co-workers and purveyors.
- Ability to apply supervisory skills to plan, organize and direct, coach, train and discipline team members as necessary.
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as office machines: operate calculator/10 key, copier, fax, telephone.
OTHER: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Trump National Doral - Miami from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates
with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of
employment.
Due to the industry, that we are in a need will occur for each associate to provide "Lateral Service". Our goal is to ensure that we are maximizing customer satisfaction and as a result there will be times when our associates in the Operation will call upon us for support in order to ensure customer satisfaction occurs. When we are fortunate enough for this to occur, each associate will positively respond unless there is a chance that an opportunity resulting in dissatisfying a guest could occur. If this is the case the leader is to be notified and the level of support that is being requested will be obtained.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Provide accurate information to in inquirers for directions and hours of operations.
- Receive, record and secure found property. Research and respond to guests inquiries for lost property.
- Assist guests with door lock and in room safe problems using moderately complex hand held electronic apparatus.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: - Thorough knowledge of the floor plans and layout of the building(s), function rooms, and working knowledge of the City and surrounding area.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
- Ability to communicate orally and verbally in English with staff and outside entities. Certain positions will require the ability to read and write in English as well.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.

GROOMING All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
OTHER Additional language ability preferred.
