Controls Engineer
Responsibilities :
- Provide support for PLC and Operator Interface (OIT) systems across the facility.
- Assist in implementing Management of Change (MOC) processes related to PLC logic updates and associated system modifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot various Rockwell PLC platforms, including SLC, ControlLogix, PLC5, CompactLogix, and associated HMI systems like PanelView and Proface.
- Manage PLC software, licensing, and version control across support devices (laptops / desktops).
- Maintain an accurate inventory of installed PLC hardware, software versions, and spare parts.
- Participate in PLC lifecycle initiatives, including onsite data collection, commissioning, functional testing, and system startup.
- Provide on-call technical support as part of a rotating team schedule.
Skills & Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix, PLC5, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) and HMI systems (PanelView Plus, Proface).Strong troubleshooting skills, including program upload / download and diagnostics.Familiarity with communication protocols such as Data Highway Plus, Ethernet / IP, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP.Experience with Prosoft / Prolinx communication cards and gateways.Knowledge of FactoryTalk AssetCentre and Rockwell / Siemens VFDs is preferred.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.Strong documentation and communication skills.Experience with SCADA systems is a plusBenefits
