Entry Level Auto Lab Technician (job description)

We have partnered with a Global Leader in the Automotive Research and Development space in the Dayton OH area to lead a search for their Auto Lab Technician role.

·The Auto Lab Technician supports product development within the Lab Group, with responsibilities spanning prototype fabrication, mechanical testing, and manufacturing activities.

·This position works closely with engineers and fellow technicians to assemble test fixtures, conduct mechanical testing, inspect parts & components, and keep accurate records, reporting results to validate performance against customer requirements.

·Additional responsibilities include manufacturing prototype parts through welding robot operation, hand welding, assembly, painting, and performing quality checks, as well as supporting shipping, receiving, and logistics as needed.

·The Auto Lab Tech is involved in multiple active projects and is expected to maintain high standards of quality, follow defined procedures, and contribute to the timely delivery of program milestones.

Skills required:

·Strong communication

·Ability to work in a team

·Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office

·Welding knowledge

Experience:

·0-2 years in a manufacturing environment

Education:

·Associates Degree in Automotive, Mechanical or related field, or

·High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience
