Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Cambridge, Massachusetts

This opportunity calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with telemedicine and med/surg expertise to provide essential patient care across multiple hospital units. The role requires adaptability to float between eight different medical-surgical telemetry areas, offering a dynamic and diverse nursing experience in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, performing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips every four hours. You will care for patients in various settings, including the emergency department, acute mental health unit, and ICU transfers, ensuring high-quality clinical practice throughout.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips
• Experience with TR Band and cardiac drips
• AHA BLS certification
• Comfortable floating between diverse units within a hospital setting

Schedule:

• Nights & Every Other Weekend (EOW), 36 hours per week

Additional Information:

• Patient ratios: Days and evenings up to 5:1, nights up to 6:1
• EMR documentation using EPIC system
• Unit bed counts range from 8 to 41 patients
• Facility offers free on-site parking for staff
