Maintenance mechanic

Responsibilities

• Technical Troubleshooting: Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, and manuals.
• Mechanical Maintenance: Repair machinery including pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines using testing instruments and precision-measuring tools.
• Electrical Systems: Perform installation and repair of equipment for generating and distributing electrical energy. Test circuits and install new power, light, and electronic control circuits.
• Complex Electronics: Repair motors, switches, switchboards, automated machines, controls, relays, circuit breakers, and communication/alarm systems.
• Emergency Repair: Work from schematics and layouts to diagnose trouble and improvise acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.
• Preventative Maintenance: Prepare new production equipment for operation and follow a strict PM schedule to minimize downtime.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 7 hours at one time
