Mortgage Loan Officer

NeighborWorks® Boise (NWB) is a local affordable housing nonprofit that helps Idahoans obtain, maintain, and retain housing. We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Mortgage Loan Officer to help individuals and families achieve sustainable homeownership. Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating quality residential mortgage loans while promoting responsible lending opportunities in alignment with NWB’s mission. This position requires an active NMLS license and Idaho Mortgage Loan Originator license. The Loan Officer guides borrowers through every step of the mortgage process, ensuring compliance with lending regulations, fostering community partnerships, and supporting long-term homeownership success through education and outreach. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Loan Origination and Client Relations

• Meet with prospective borrowers to assess financing needs and recommend appropriate loan products
• Collect and review financial documentation (income, credit, assets, liabilities) for accuracy and completeness
• Educate borrowers on loan options, terms, and homeownership responsibilities
• Submit accurate loan applications to processing and underwriting, coordinate through closing
• Maintain open, supportive communication with borrowers throughout the process

Job Type : Full-time

Compensation : Hourly base pay starting at $20.00 plus commission on brokered loans (not including ramp-up period)
