Plant Controller

Job description : Our client is seeking a Plant Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning for a Tier 1 automotive supplier in northern Georgia near Chattanooga, TN.

• This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, compliance, cash management, and supports executive leadership with financial insight and process improvement.
• Tasks & Responsibilities
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end / year-end close, and accounting operations
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and financial system integrity
• Support plant leadership with KPI analysis, cost savings, and pricing strategy
• Lead financial improvement projects and support new product launches
• Supervise and develop finance team (24 employees)
• Manage audits, banking, taxes, and external financial relationships
• Partner with senior leadership on business strategy and growth initiatives
• Qualifications :
• Requirements
• Bachelors in Finance / Accounting (Masters preferred); CPA preferred
• 10+ years finance experience
• 5+ in leadership experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of reporting, budgeting, cash management, and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Experience with compliance, risk management, and financial controls
