The State Water Resources Control Board’s Central Valley Region has an opening for an Analyst II in the Administrative Program Support Unit. The position is located at 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.

Duties:
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State Water Resources Control Board and the Regional Water Quality Control Boards Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.
The Analyst II will perform analytical tasks relating to serving as the Training Liaison to the Regional Board, assisting staff and management with training needs, ensuring required trainings are taken, and providing assistance and guidance to staff regarding the Cornerstone Learning Management system. Perform administration and management of the most complex contracts and grants within the Regional Board.Responsible for developing and preparing a diverse workload of contractual agreements ranging from routine to highly technical and complex in accordance with the California Public Contract Code, the State Administrative Manual, the State Contracting Manual(s), and departmental operating policies and procedures. Review and analyze development of contracts and grants for completeness, research discrepancies, identify appropriate resolutions, and recommend alternatives. Develop and write scope of work, budgets, and exhibits. Maintain documentation; identify and resolve issues; provide administrative and programmatic technical assistance; approve project costs and close out completed grants and contracts.
In addition, they are responsible for tracking and managing Regional Board special projects and serve as the Regional Board’s Travel Liaison and Staff Awards Coordinator. The incumbent must display good customer service, communication, and written and verbal coordination skills in their daily work with Regional Board staff, public agencies, consultants, members of the public, and other stakeholders.
