Job Title: Corporate Controller

Location: Greater Phoenix Area

Work Type: On-Site

Compensation: Up to $175,000 base + 25% bonus

The Kostelic Agency has been engaged to support the search for a Corporate Controller at a well-established organization within the logistics and transportation services industry that generates approximately $700M in annual revenue. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and isn’t afraid to operate with high visibility and accountability.

What you’ll own:

• Full responsibility for enterprise-wide accounting operations across multiple legal entities, including close, consolidation, reporting, and compliance
• Leadership and development of a core accounting team
• Oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and consistency
• Preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders
• Hands-on involvement with complex accounting matters, including judgment-based transactions and reconciliations
• Stewardship of internal controls, including enhancing policies, strengthening processes, and improving efficiency as the organization evolves
• Coordination of external audits and management of all audit-related deliverables
• Oversight of tax-related filings in partnership with external advisors
• Management of cash activity, banking relationships, and balance sheet integrity
• Accountability for long-lived asset accounting, including capitalization practices and depreciation methodology
• Ownership of the accounting system environment, including user access, optimization, and ongoing team enablement

The ideal profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline
• 10+ years of progressive experience spanning corporate accounting, audit, and/or finance
• Public accounting foundation strongly preferred (Big 4 exposure a plus)
• CPA encouraged but not mandatory
• Confident, direct communicator with the ability to navigate pressure, complexity, and change
• Proven experience operating at scale within structured, deadline-driven environments
• Advanced Excel capabilities and comfort working across multiple financial systems
• Detail-oriented leader who can balance strategy with execution
