This regional medical center is a Level 3 trauma facility with 32 beds in the department, providing essential surgical services to the community. The facility offers comprehensive surgical care with emergency credentialing available for qualified candidates with clean files.

Board Certified - Surgery - General

Job Details:
• Handle 7-10 patient encounters per shift in a 32-bed department
• Provide general surgery services for adult patients (pediatric and neonate experience preferred)
• Perform trauma surgeries and manage surgical emergencies
• Conduct laparoscopic procedures including appendectomies and cholecystectomies
• Head/neck surgery including thyroid procedures preferred
• GI endoscopy skills (upper and lower) preferred
• Must be proficient in ventilation management
• Perform chest tube insertions and central line placements
• Maintain active New Mexico medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Emergency credentialing available for providers with clean files
• Fellowship training required
• Position available ASAP with ongoing needs
