Telemetry and cardiac / stroke experience. Experience managing various cardiac drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix. Description : This position involves working on a true cardiac floor. Nurses are required to pass a telemetry rhythm identification quiz. Understanding cardiac rhythms is essential for patient safety. The shift is three nights per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30. No call requirements are included in the role. Every other weekend shift is required. Floating to similar or lesser units may be necessary. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4. The position accepts first-time travelers. Special equipment includes beds capable of hemodialysis, with external support for renal patients. All modes of oxygenation other than ventilators are managed. Daily census consists of adult and geriatric patients with a focus on telemetry, stroke, and congestive heart failure. The unit is a high-acuity and busy environment. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting. Professional conduct is crucial during assignments; any issues may lead to contract termination. Travelers must complete required modules before starting.
