[job_card.job_description]Support migration of applications and data to new enterprise systems Develop, modify, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting water quality programs Build, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures Support application dependencies such as invoicing and file management systems Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure system stability and performance Provide technical support and ongoing maintenance for production systems Participate in documentation, issue resolution, and enhancement planning Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience with government IT projects as a software developer / engineer or related role 8+ years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures 3+ years of experience supporting Water Quality / Safety Information Systems (preferably in government) Working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS Experience implementing / configuring / supporting systems such as SDWIS, WQX, SWIFT, DW–SFTIES Experience with Apache Tomcat and Java Experience working / collaborating with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Experience using service / help desk ticketing platforms and Microsoft Office tools Candidate must reside in a state aligned with Eastern or Central Time zones

Overview
A public sector client is seeking a System Software Programmer – Advanced to support the Application Development team within the Office of Technology. This role is critical to the migration of applications and data from a former agency infrastructure to new systems and will help maintain and enhance applications supporting water quality operations.
