Forklift Operator - Warehouse - Starting at $21.00 / hr
Job Location : Clackamas, OR
Join a dynamic warehouse team where safety and efficiency are top priorities. This company is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and keeping materials moving smoothly across the facility.
Job Description :
As a Forklift Operator, you will safely operate a forklift to move and organize materials within the warehouse, load and unload trucks, and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system. You will play a key role in supporting production schedules and ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities for the job include :
- Operate a forklift to move materials and control lifting apparatus
- Conduct daily inspections of the forklift before use
- Fill and maintain propane tanks and forklift accessories
- Review production schedules and communicate with supervisors to determine material requirements
- Track overdue materials and monitor material delivery dates
- Verify material conformance to specifications
- Coordinate in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
- Maintain manual or computerized records of inventory and material status
- Transport materials between departments as needed
- Ensure accurate movement and storage of materials
- Arrange for repair and assembly of materials or parts when necessary
